The Tina Club September Update

Tina Haapala | SEP 3, 2024

I’m always finding new classes to take when I’m not teaching. They usually inspire my following class sequences in some way. This week, my classes may feel a little slower. You may even say they will be very mindful and very demure. Cutesy, not so much.

In one of my recent classes, I heard, “The pause is as important as the pose.” It’s a good reminder—especially when we must be intentional about creating a sense of rest in our minds and bodies.

My Tuesday Tune-Up at Balance is a 45-minute class suitable for all levels. This week, we will be focusing on that stillness between the movement. If you can’t make it into the Wichita Falls studio, the classes are available on Zoom live for $8. You can see other times I am at Balance for Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga here.

This month, I’ll continue my Wednesday classes at noon at MSU. Did you know you can drop in for just $5? Just go to the front desk a few minutes before class and tell them I invited you!

When I have time, I offer free online yoga classes. These are found on Insight Timer, both on the website and the app.

Fall is coming, ya’ll! Some of my colleagues take advantage of the season by taking vacations to far-off lands. This means I will continue to sub where I’m needed. You can keep up with where I’m subbing on my website.

Later this month, I'm "sacrificing" part of my week to go to Cancun to learn about the resort I'm teaching at in April. If you think you may be interested in joining me or planning a Mexican Riviera Maya trip for you and your besties, reach out to me here.

I'm keeping this short and sweet, mostly because I am trying to spend more time writing just to get the ideas flowing, and I already wrote today—in my journal and in a new substack that I hope will keep me accountable. Full disclosure: you may see the same things here as you do there, but not always. I wrote a few blogs back in the day, and I miss that sense of sharing and writing without much pressure.

Have a peaceful & powerful week!

Tina
