Sometimes the most stressful part of traveling takes place in the LINES at the airport. With a few smart strategies, you can streamline the process and make your journey smoother.

One of the best ways to save time at security checkpoints is by enrolling in TSA PreCheck. This program allows you to keep your shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and your electronics and liquids in your bag during screening. It’s a great option for frequent travelers and can significantly reduce wait times at security lines.

Another tool to simplify your travel is the Mobile Passport Control (MPC) app. This free app, authorized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, allows you to submit your passport and customs declaration form electronically. By using the MPC app, you can skip the traditional paper forms and often bypass long lines at customs upon your return to the U.S..

Another stress reducer: Consider enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) before your trip. This free service provides important safety updates about your destination and helps the U.S. Embassy contact you in case of an emergency.

By taking advantage of these programs and tools, you can reduce stress and focus on enjoying your travel experience.

Safe travels!
