SEE YOUR HOME THROUGH A TOURIST LENS

Our home was completely packed the night before we left Wichita Falls, so we stayed at a local hotel. Fallstown hotels get business, ya'll! This really set the "vacation" mood as we prepared to move to one of the world's best-known vacation spots.

You don't have to go very far from home to feel like you are getting away. Even if you are only a mile or two away from home, a new location may be just what you need to reenergize yourself! Is there a fancy hotel that you are drawn to? Maybe a stay-cation with a spa treatment can be your self-care this week. Or, plan it for next month as something to look forward to.

I have been focused on fixing up my new home and selling my old one in the past few weeks, but I will be sure to share my explorations with you in the coming weeks.

My first priority will be to take classes at as many studios as I can. I hope to find a new yoga "home." Mostly for my own practice, but if an opportunity arises that makes sense-- maybe where I can guide yoga as well. Time will tell.

I just happened to have a training scheduled to learn about the Universal Theme Park properties today. Although I tend to focus on adult-only vacations, it's still nice to know that there's a fun Universal Kids Resort scheduled to open later this year in Frisco, Texas. That may be a destination for us with the grandkid in the future.

Of course, I am living less than an hour away from Universal Studios in Orlando. From now until April 4, they are bringing the vibrant spirit of Mardi Gras to life with live entertainment, festive cuisine, and authentic celebration throughout the event season. There's a fun opportunity to be a part of the evening's float ride (so you'll be the one tossing beads at this family-friendly event) that comes with dinner.

There are multiple parks and resorts to explore connected with Universal Studios. If you are interested in a $300 dining credit when you stay and play at Universal this year, let me know!
