I’ve been putting off writing for too long. I know why. Perfection Procrastination. Analysis Paralysis. Following my excuses down a rabbit hole (Well, if I do THAT, I must have THIS in place first...)

In other words, sorry for not staying in touch. In the midst of coming up with new offerings and teaching almost daily, a few balls were dropped. But that’s ok. I’m a professional yoga teacher, so I can bend over and grab them ;)

I know myself well enough to know when I’ve lost the appropriate reach and release needed to juggle everything. That doesn’t mean I change anything right away, but I am aware. Generally, these steps help to get my balls back in the air:

  • Practice “Being:” That’s all. Returning to THIS moment and each breath helps me remember that it is not necessary or possible to do it all now and all at once.
  • Step Back: Look at the tasks at hand. What is the priority? What is the next priority? Start with the first few tasks. Do all you can with Priority One (which may or may not mean completing it) and go on to the NEXT best thing.
  • Be Realistic: Having a challenging goal is awesome! Having clearly unrealistic goals is self-defeating. Know the difference.
  • Be Open to Change: Change is the only thing we can be sure of. It’s the nature of, well, everything. Resist grasping onto the idea of the way things “should’ be when you have no control over them. Be open to making changes yourself, especially when they are within your control and can positively impact your life.
